Wolfram Alpha is an amazing technology. There is great potential in this service. Think of it less as a search engine, but Britanica and Mathematica combine. There are searches where it is competent in like a comparison of IBM and Apple stock price. But try searching for obscure company on the S&P and chances are Wolfram Alpha doesn't know about it. in my humble opinion, if Wolfram Alpha ever gets to use Wikipedia and other vectors of data, it would be amazing what it can do.
